My name is Dana Hawkins and I have a devoted and sincere love for children.  I am starting my 12th year at Susan Moore Elementary. I absolutely love teaching second grade.  I currently teach both math and science. I earned my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Athens State University and my master’s degree from the University of North Alabama.  I’ve been married to my husband, Curtis, for 28 years this September. Our daughter, Kasey, is a registered nurse with Alacare Home Health. Kasey also gave us our first grandson, Rhett who is almost 18 months old.  Our son, Brandon, is currently enrolled at Snead State and will transfer to Auburn to pursue a degree in Civil Engineering. My husband is the pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Snead. We enjoy traveling (especially Walt Disney World), and spending time with family.
